Montenegro Airlines

The airline was founded in 1994, a time of difficult political events in the area resulting in the first aircraft (a Fokker 28) not being purchased until 1996.
The first international flight (to Italy) took place in may 1997 and a second Fokker 28 was purchased in 1998.

In 2000, the first Fokker 100 was purchased and by the middle of 2004, 1 million passengers had been transported.

Ajrore u themelua në vitin 1994, një kohë të ngjarjeve të vështira politike në zonën që rezultojnë në një avion të parë (a Fokker 28) nuk u blerë deri më 1996.
Fluturimi i parë ndërkombëtar (në Itali) u zhvillua në maj 1997 dhe një Fokker dytë 28 ishte blerë në vitin 1998.

Në vitin 2000, Fokker parë 100 u ble dhe nga mesi i 2004, 1 milion pasagjerë ishin transportuar.

Competition in between airlines increases, Lufthansa enters in Prishtina Airport

 Competition in between airlines is expected to take place in regard to the German and Italian flight  market where the biggest part of our compatriots is concentrated, a market not quite exploited yet.

Biggest notable newness related to the next year’s summer season, which commences in March, are entry in market, for the very first time, of the biggest German and European airline ‘Lufthansa’, with 4 scheduled flights from the city of Düsseldorf and flights of the Slovenian airline ‘Adria Airways’ expected to start with 5 flights per day to the different German cities.

Increase in flight number is also expected by another giant ‘British Airways’ with 6 direct flights a week to London, ‘Easy Jet’ with minimum of 5 scheduled flights a week and 7 flights in the peak season, and ‘Malev’ expected to double its flights from current 7 to 14 flights during a week, etc. Read more…

Meridiana

Meridiana started life in 1964 as Alisarda, using an 8 seater plane from the Italian mainland to Sardinia, carry 186 passengers in their first year.
By the 1970′s they were operating two jet aircraft.
The name of the airline was changed to Meridiana in 1991 and they now have a fleet of 23 Aircraft,including 4 Airbus 319.
During 2005, Meridiana transported 4.5 million passengers,operating several routes within Italy, between Italy and Sardinia or Sicily, plus a small number of international routes.

Meridiana also controls the Italian airline Eurofly, in which has a stake.

Meridiana filloi jetën në 1964 si Alisarda, duke përdorur një aeroplan 8 vendësh nga italian kontinent të Sardenjës, të kryer 186 pasagjerë në vitin e tyre të parë.
Nga 1970, ata ishin të veprojnë dy avion reaktiv.
Emri i linjës ajrore është ndryshuar për Meridiana në 1991 dhe tani ata kanë një flotë prej 23 aeroplanëve, duke përfshirë 4 Airbus 319.
Gjatë vitit 2005, Meridiana 4.5 milion pasagjerë transportuar, që vepron në disa rrugë brenda Italisë, në mes Italisë dhe Sardenjës ose Sicili, plus një numër i vogël i rrugëve ndërkombëtare.

Meridiana gjithashtu kontrollon ajrore italiane Eurofly, në të cilin ka një të aksioneve.
